Coach Sisy Wang, a former elite athlete trained in China, won the 19th Asian Swimming Championships along with several titles at the Chinese Championships in Artistic Swimming.
With extensive coaching experience across national teams and clubs in Europe, Asia, and Africa, Sisy brings world-class expertise to our club and the Junior/Senior teams.
Coach Sisy is also an expert in choreography and has a passion for singing, dancing, and playing the piano. She holds a master’s degree in Sports Management.
Coach Tathiane Martins comes from Brazil. She has been coaching for 22 years. Before moving to the USA, she served as the assistant coach for Tauranga Artistic Swimming in New Zealand and was the head coach for New Zealand's Youth National Team.
Coach Ginny Whisenhunt started her synchro career with the Pennsebury Falconettes, and continued with the Austin Angelfish after moving to Texas. As a coach, Ginny started coaching summer camps and clinics while attending Texas A&M.
In 2013, Ginny became apart of our coaching staff and has coached multiple age groups including our Youth, Junior and Senior teams. In addition to coaching, Ginny is a technical controller, Level 3 Judge, Association Board Member and USAAS Committee Member.
Coach Isabelle Duenas began her synchro career with the First Colony SynchroStars in 2008 at the age of 9, continuing to swim with the club until 2018, one year after its name change to the Houston SynchroStars.
Outside of coaching, Isabelle is pursuing a degree in education at the University of Houston, driven by her passion for working with children. Isabelle is dedicated to inspiring her swimmers and showing them how truly unique and special this sport is.
Coach Engy ElSelouky swam with the national team of Egypt and has been coaching artistic swimming and swimming for 20 years across Africa, Europe, and Asia. She was key in introducing synchronized swimming to countries like Oman and Tunisia.
In addition to her coaching career, Engy is a Senior Financial Analyst and holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School.
She is passionate about the sport and strives to inspire new swimmers by showcasing the fun and beauty of artistic swimming. Engy is also a certified Level 2 Judge and holds certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
Coach Jennie-V Turner began competing for the Tallahassee Serinas starting at age 10. She has experience coaching athletes at various levels, including Novice, Intermediate, 12U, 13-15, Junior and Senior.
Outside of coaching, she runs a private practice as a board-certified music therapist, serving the special needs community in Houston and surrounding areas. Jennie-V also enjoys indulging in goat cheese, reading lighthearted novels, and spending time with her three cats.
